When my student accommodations invited everyone to a Sausage Sizzle, I was unprepared for this Kiwi classic. A "Sausage Sizzle" is a grilled sausage served on white bread, often topped with onions, mustard, and tomato sausage. The American hot dog bun is not traditional here, and an authentic sausage sizzle can be purchased outside of hardware stores like Bunnings Warehouse. I was not a fan of the sausage sizzle, but would definitely try it again.
