As my midsemester break approached, I began to feel bittersweet about my study abroad experience. I have loved getting to explore Aotearoa, but I also wanted to warm up a bit… 

My friend, Emily, and I decided to plan a very last-minute trip to Fiji. We started planning about three weeks before we left, but it was such a fun adventure. 

After our midterms and midsemester assignments had completed, we decided to put away the puffer jackets and pull out the bikinis! I was so excited to visit a new place and have the opportunity to travel even more through the generosity of the Johnson Scholarship. We planned a ten-day trip staying in a couple of different locations, so we could get the full Fiji experience.

• Coral Coast

After our initial planning, we decided to book our hotels, hostels, and plane tickets, and left Aotearoa for our next adventure!
